Ever wondered what it takes to make theatre? Other than learning lines, of course? It takes all kinds of wonderful people coming together with a common purpose; it takes a village. From being involved all year long to helping out in the park for a few nights in the summer, it’s easy and rewarding to be a part of Shakespeare in the Ruff’s village.
Front of House Team—A night under the summer stars
Every summer we rely on dozens of volunteers to help our audiences find their ‘seats’ in Withrow Park. Come see the show for free and spend a summer evening beneath the stars. Are you in High School and looking for an exciting way to complete some volunteer hours? If you’re interested in joining our Front of House Team during the last three weeks of August, email us today at FOH@shakespeareintheruff.com!
Serving Shakespeare—Support Ruff from the comfort of your living room
Shakespeare in the Ruff is looking for community members to host fundraisers for us in their homes. Our Serving Shakespeare events have been a great way for us to meet and get to know a wider community of supporters and for our guests to have a unique evening together. We would co-host the event with you, providing entertainment of the Shakespearean variety and a presentation on our company and youth development programming.
A wonderful way to support a new, young company and a great way to bring all your friends together, Serving Shakespeare promises to be an evening no one will soon forget. If you are interested in more information about how to host a Serving Shakespeare event or how to support Shakespeare in the Ruff, please contact us.
Board of Directors—Recruiting new members to get involved
Our board of directors is always looking for members. Have you been looking for an exciting opportunity to get more involved with the community? Do you have some ideas that might help an up-start theatre company like us? Get in touch with the Chairman of our Board, Peter Wismath, to learn more about it.
