FOUL PAPERS: NEW WORKS IN EARLY STAGES OF DEVELOPMENT

By January 28, 2024 February 20th, 2024 Announcements

Leading up to our summer production, we want you to join us as we explore the characters, themes and context of Shakespeare’s Tempest.

On February 25th,  we are proud to bring you our third annual Ruff’s Winter Tale which will take place at Red Sandcastle TheatreThis season we are presenting Foul Papers: New Works in Early Stages of Development and will be sharing two exciting works in progress.

The first work of the evening is a long awaited collaboration between Ruff Leadership Collective members, Patricia Allison and Jeff Yung. Using Shakespeare’s the Tempest as their backdrop, the duo explores the intersection of contemporary dance and Kung Fu to create a new solo-work for Yung.

Up next is Old Miranda (working title) by Christine Horne in collaboration with actors Chick Reid & Tom McCamus and dramaturg Nathaniel Hanula-James, an early-stage exploration of a Miranda beyond Shakespeare’s The Tempest.

**Also, support our mini drive for The Period Purse! We’ll be collecting new period products at our Ruff’s Winter Tale. Bring new pads, tampons, menstrual cups, or period underwear when you come to the show and we’ll donate them to The South Riverdale Community Health Centre.
